Shedeur Sanders says he wants LaJohntay Wester at Colorado

Shedeur Sanders was open about who he wanted as Colorado's next transfer portal player.

On Saturday, the Buffaloes quarterback took to X (formerly Twitter) to beg with LaJohntay Wester to join Boulder.

Wester has attended Florida Atlantic for the past three years. Last season, the 5-foot-11, 175-pound receiver set career highs of 1,168 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

As a two-year starter for the Owls, he recorded 2,703 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns. An original unrated recruit from Palmetto (Florida) 

Sanders could use Wester's skills in the Buffs' stacked receiving rotation. He would also be an excellent acquisition with Xavier Weaver on his way to the NFL.

Colorado's offense is looking for more weapons after averaging 363.6 yards per game last season. Sanders is the most important component of CU's success as an early Heisman favorite in 2024.

After breaking Colorado's single-season throwing yardage record, he'll be looking to establish a couple more next season.

Throughout this cycle, Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes have added nineteen players via the transfer site.
