Knicks 112, Trail Blazers 84: "I guess we just humiliate other teams now?"

If you've been living under a rock for the past two weeks, welcome to the year 2024 of our Lord!

We flipped the calendar page ten days ago and began the new year with the Knicks hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves at MSG to kick things off in 2024.

The New York Knicks (22-15) have remained flawless since then, adding another victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, a 112-84 thumping, to their record.

Five games played, five teams lost, and one team remains unblemished in the NBA this year. Oh, these new-look knicks!

On December 30, OG Anunoby received a call informing him of the painful reality of having to locate a new house in the New York suburbs after spending the previous six seasons in chilly Toronto via London

and he eventually had his genuine breakout match as a New York Knickerbocker.

This was not about OG scoring fifty points. It wasn't even about OG going for a double-double, let alone a trip-dub on the day.

Yes, he completed the best-ever five-game run in the L's history, accumulating a combined +111 plus/minus in that time, which had never been done before...

...but this was about the NYK simply manhandling a team that barely scored as many points in the first half (41) as the Knicks put up in the first quarter alone (38).

To make matters worse, the Grizzlies were playing without their two best players in Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr., who both sat out with injuries.
