Ja Morant Fails the Common-Sense Test

Perhaps a ban will convince the Memphis Grizzlies star that he has too much to lose.

In an apologetic letter issued on Tuesday following his latest suspension for allegedly flashing a pistol on social media,

"My words may not mean much right now, but I accept full responsibility for my actions." I'm committed to continuing to improve myself."

The Memphis Grizzlies point guard is correct: his promises cannot be trusted.

On Saturday, an Instagram Live video surfaced showing Morant recklessly waving a weapon while riding in a car's passenger seat.

In response, on Sunday, the Grizzlies suspended him indefinitely from all team activities.

In March, after another Instagram Live video showed Morant holding a gun inside a Denver nightclub,

the NBA suspended him for eight games without pay for conduct detrimental to the league.

It's difficult to see one of professional basketball's most electrifying players destroy his own career.
